How publishing works
Google decides whether each photo is published. Our job is to send it photos that pass.
Whose Google account?
Photos on Google Maps belong to the Google account that publishes them. Choose which account that is.

Google's photo requirements
From Google's published requirements for 360° photos on Google Maps. Our quality review checks each one.
| Check | Requirement | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Shape | 2:1 aspect ratio (a full equirectangular sphere) | Anything else isn't treated as a 360° photo |
| Size | At least 7.5 megapixels (3840 × 1920 px) | Smaller photos are refused |
| File | JPEG, no more than 75 MB | Larger uploads fail |
| Stitching | No gaps at the horizon, no major stitching errors | Visible seams get photos rejected |
| Exposure | Detail in light and dark areas, sharp, no motion blur | Google's quality bar |
| Nadir | No distracting effects or filters at the bottom of the sphere | Logos and patches over the tripod are not allowed |
| Location | GPS position and capture time | Google places the photo on the map from these |
| Privacy | Faces and licence plates blurred where there's no release | Virtual.Photo's own standard |
Connect your Google account
We send you a personal connect link. It opens Google's own sign-in page, where you approve Virtual.Photo to publish 360° photos to Street View for you. We never see your Google password.
Publish and manage your 360 photos on Google Street View.
Questions
We link each photo to your business's place on Google Maps, so it's shown with your business on the map. Publishing to Street View doesn't give us access to your Business Profile, and it isn't the same as managing it. Profile management is a separate plan on google.virtual.photo.
Google processes each photo after upload. It's often quick, but it can take longer, and we can't promise a time. We check the status and tell you when each photo is published.
Yes. Google can reject photos that don't meet its requirements or policies. If that happens, we tell you why, fix what can be fixed and resubmit.
Only what you approve: publishing and managing 360° photos on Street View. We can't read your email, files or Business Profile. You can remove our access at any time from your Google account's security settings.
No. Virtual.Photo is independent and uses Google's public Street View publishing tools.
